BLUF: Yesterday’s shooting at Fort Stewart has shaken our military family to its core. Five soldiers were wounded by one of their own. Today, we stand together in support of those injured, their families, and the entire Fort Stewart community.
💔 WHAT HAPPENED
On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Sgt. Quornelius Radford opened fire at his workplace in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Five soldiers were wounded before fellow troops immediately tackled and subdued the shooter.
The heroes in this story: The soldiers who didn’t hesitate to rush toward danger to protect their battle buddies. Their quick action prevented further casualties.
The victims: Five soldiers, co-workers of the shooter, who are now fighting their own battle for recovery. All are expected to survive, but their road ahead won’t be easy.
