Sarge began helping other veterans through her county government employment in 2015. There she was, fighting for veteran recognition and support in the county, helping constituents navigate the government bureaucracy, and assisting Veterans in need. The irony wasn’t lost on her, but she soldiered on – kept learning, kept taking notes, and eventually, she persevered.
