Orders Are Orders – Respect Our National Guard

Bottom Line Up Front: PLEASE don’t forget that the National Guard troops currently deployed in Washington D.C. are following lawful orders from their Commander in Chief. They have no choice – and harassing them because you can’t get to the leadership who made these decisions is despicable.

⚔️ The Reality of Military Service

When you raise your right hand and take that oath, you surrender the luxury of choosing your assignments. These National Guard members didn’t wake up and decide to patrol D.C. streets – they received orders from President Trump as their Commander in Chief. 🎖️

Let me be crystal clear: These are lawful orders from the top of the chain of command. Refusing to deploy, abandoning their post, or disobeying these orders would result in court-martial, time in the brig, dishonorable discharge, and the complete destruction of their military careers which bleeds and lives/destroys their civilian lives. ⚖️

🚫 They Literally Have No Choice

Every service member understands Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice – failure to obey a lawful order. The penalties are severe: confinement, forfeiture of pay, reduction in rank, and discharge. When the Commander in Chief gives an order, you follow it. Period. 📜

These troops aren’t volunteers on a field trip – they’re following direct orders from the highest military authority in the nation. They can be thrown in jail for disobeying. 🔒

😡 Taking It Out on the Wrong People

Here’s the truth that needs to be said: The people harassing these troops on the street are only doing it because they can’t get to the executive leadership who made these decisions. 🎯

They can’t yell at President Trump directly, so they’re taking their anger out on the soldiers who have zero control over policy. That’s not protest – that’s despicable cowardice. 😤

These service members are the most accessible target, but they’re also the ones with the least power in this situation. They’re following orders they cannot refuse, representing decisions they didn’t make, carrying out policies they had no voice in creating. 🎭

🤦‍♀️ The Embarrassing Truth

What I’m seeing from some D.C. residents shows complete ignorance of military law and basic human decency. They are screaming at, throwing objects at, and hurling insults at people who are legally required to be there and legally prohibited from responding to the abuse. 🤐

I’m so proud of these service members who are maintaining military bearing and professionalism while being treated like enemy combatants by people who are too cowardly to direct their anger where it actually belongs. 💪

🗳️ Disagree with Policy, Not Personnel

If people want to protest the Commander in Chief’s decision? Fine – that’s your constitutional right. But stop being cowards who take their anger out on people who can’t fight back. 🗽

Call your representatives. Vote. Write letters. March on the White House. But stop harassing troops who are doing exactly what military law requires them to do. 📞

🎯 The Bottom Line

These National Guard members are following orders from their Commander in Chief under penalty of court-martial. They’re not your enemy – they’re convenient targets for some of the public’s cowardice.

Show some decency. Show some respect. Show some courage. Direct your anger where it belongs – at the policymakers, not the people carrying out their orders.
